How this works and common questions

About this tool

This planner converts a date and clock time in one Canadian zone into the other five. The times come from your browser. Nothing is stored or sent.

How it works

You type a date and a clock time in one zone. The page asks the browser for that zone's clock rules, then shows the same moment in the other Canadian zones. Pacific is Vancouver, Mountain is Edmonton, Central is Winnipeg, Eastern is Toronto, Atlantic is Halifax, and Newfoundland is St. John's.

Rules

Daylight saving follows those zones. On 15 January 2026, 10:00 Eastern is 07:00 Pacific, 08:00 Mountain, 09:00 Central, 10:00 Eastern, 11:00 Atlantic, and 11:30 Newfoundland, at UTC-5. On 15 July 2026 the same clock times are at UTC-4. A time skipped in spring is rejected. A time that happens twice in the fall uses the earlier one. Saskatchewan is not a choice: it stays on Central Standard Time all year, and Mountain here is Edmonton.

Questions

What is 10:00 Eastern on 15 July 2026 in the other zones?

07:00 Pacific, 08:00 Mountain, 09:00 Central, 10:00 Eastern, 11:00 Atlantic, and 11:30 Newfoundland. Eastern is on daylight time, UTC-4.

What is 10:00 Eastern on 15 January 2026?

The same clock times in each zone: 07:00, 08:00, 09:00, 10:00, 11:00, and 11:30. Eastern is on standard time, UTC-5.

Why is 02:30 Eastern on 8 March 2026 rejected?

Clocks spring forward that morning and skip 02:30. The page does not invent a time. A repeated time, such as 01:30 Eastern on 1 November 2026, uses the earlier one and says so.
