Selling price
—
Enter an item cost and the tariff percent you want to use.
Tariff is the item cost times your tariff percent. The selling price adds the pass-through share of that tariff. Margin is the selling price minus the item cost minus the full tariff.
Example: a 100 item with a 25 percent tariff and 40 percent passed through sells at 110, and the margin after the tariff is -15.

About this calculation
How it works
You type the item cost, the tariff percent and how much of that tariff is passed through. Example: 100 with a 25 percent tariff is a 25 tariff. Passing through 40 percent adds 10 to the price, so the selling price is 110. The 15 that is absorbed is the margin after the full tariff, shown as -15.
Rules
Every tariff percent on this page is one you type. The page does not store a tariff schedule and does not say which rate applies.
Where do I get the tariff percent?
Type the percent from your own source. This page does not look one up.
What does margin after tariff mean?
It is the selling price minus the item cost minus the full tariff. Absorbing any of the tariff makes that figure negative.
Can I pass the whole tariff through?
Yes. Type 100 in the pass-through percent. The margin after the tariff is then zero.
