How this works and common questions

About this tool

Each row is an invoice amount and the payment you have typed against it. The balance is invoices minus payments. Unpaid amounts are grouped by how many days past the due date they are on the statement date. A simple estimate, not advice. This page does not check a bank.

How aging is counted

On 2026-10-31, an invoice due 2026-08-31 with 100.00 unpaid is 61 days old and sits in 61 to 90 days. An invoice due 2026-10-15 with 50.00 unpaid is 16 days old. An invoice due 2026-11-15 is current. A paid invoice adds nothing to the buckets. The five rows in the example leave a balance of 200.00.

What the statement does not do

It does not connect to a bank or send the statement. Payment details and the statement number stay on this device only.

Questions

How is the 200.00 balance worked out?

The example invoices are 100.00, 80.00, 40.00, 25.00 and 10.00, which is 255.00. Payments of 30.00 and 25.00 leave 200.00.

Which bucket is the 100.00 in?

Due 2026-08-31 and unpaid on 2026-10-31 is 61 days, so it is in 61 to 90 days. The 50.00 that is 16 days overdue is in 1 to 30 days.
