How this works and common questions

About this tool

Hours up to the threshold you type are paid at the hourly rate. Hours over that are paid at the rate times the multiplier you type. A simple estimate, not advice. Nothing you type leaves this device.

How it works

Regular hours are the hours up to the weekly threshold you type. Overtime hours are the rest. Regular pay is regular hours times the rate. Overtime pay is overtime hours times the rate times the multiplier. Both round half up to the cent. 50 hours at 20.00, with a 44 hour threshold and a 1.50 multiplier, is 880.00 regular plus 180.00 overtime, 1060.00 in total.

Rules

You type the threshold and the multiplier. The presets only fill those two fields and are labelled verify. Hours at or under the threshold have overtime pay of zero. Verify with the official source. A simple estimate, not advice.
