How this works and common questions

About this tool

Trips are counted in order. Kilometres inside the first tier you type use the first rate. Kilometres after that use the second rate. A simple estimate, not advice. Nothing you type leaves this device.

How it works

Kilometres are taken in trip order. The first tier you type is used up first, at the first per-kilometre rate. Later kilometres use the second rate. Each piece is rounded half up to the cent. A first tier of 100 km at 0.70, then 0.60, with trips of 80 km and 50 km, pays 56.00 then 32.00, 88.00 in total. The CSV includes every trip.

Rules

You type both rates and the size of the first tier. A first tier of zero uses the second rate for every kilometre. The tier does not start again on each trip. Verify with the official source. A simple estimate, not advice.
