Hay needed is animals times days times the intake you type. Each bale counts only the share left after the waste percent you type. The buy count is a whole bale, rounded up. Every weight, price and rate on this page is a number you type. This tool does not include a built-in weight, rate or price.

How it works

Total hay is head count times days times intake. Usable weight per bale is the bale weight times the share left after waste. Exact bales are the total divided by that usable weight. The number to get rounds up to a whole bale.

Rules

You type the bale weight and the intake. Waste must be under 100 percent. A blank bale weight or a weight of zero is rejected. Kilograms and pounds are not converted.

Does this include a bale weight?

No. You type the bale weight and how much each animal eats.

Why is the buy count higher than the exact amount?

The exact amount shows to 2 decimal places. The number to get rounds up to a whole bale.

Can waste be 100 percent?

No. Enter a waste under 100 so some of each bale counts.

Do I need an account?

Is what I type saved?
