How this works and common questions
About this tool
Enter the daily rent, how many days you expect to use the equipment, and what it would cost to buy. You can subtract a resale amount and add extra costs. The result is the lower total for those days.
How it works
Rent is the daily rate times the days. Buying is the price, minus the resale you type, plus extra costs you type. Break-even days are how many days of rent equal that buy total, rounded up to a whole day.
Rules
Money rounds to the cent, half up. Break-even days round up. If the daily rent is zero, break-even days are not shown. Tax and financing are not included. You type every amount.
