How this works and common questions

About this tool

The credit note names the invoice you are crediting. You type the items, the tax names and rates, and the reason. The total is the items plus the tax you typed. A simple estimate, not advice.

A simple estimate, not advice.

How the credit total is worked out

Each line is quantity times the unit price, rounded to the cent. Each tax you type is worked out once on the ticked lines and added. Two units at 19.99 plus one unit at 10.00 is 49.98. A tax rate you type as 5 adds 2.50. The credit total is 52.48.

What stays on this device
