How this works and common questions
About this tool
Weight gained is the end weight minus the start weight, times the number of animals. Cost per unit divides the feed and other costs you type by that gain. Every weight, price and rate on this page is a number you type. This tool does not include a built-in weight, rate or price. This is a simple estimate, not advice. Check with your vet.
How it works
Gain per animal is end weight minus start weight. Total gain multiplies by the head count. Total cost is the feed cost plus other costs you type. Cost per unit is that total divided by the total gain, rounded to the cent.
Rules
You type the weights and the costs. Kilograms and pounds are not converted. The end weight must be above the start. A head count of zero is rejected.
