How it works

Federal tax uses the 2026 CRA brackets. Provincial tax uses that province's 2026 brackets, or Revenu Québec for Quebec. Each credit is the basic personal amount you type times the lowest rate. Quebec abatement is applied only when you type a percent.

Rules

A simple estimate, not advice. Money is rounded half away from zero to the cent on each bracket and on each credit. A credit cannot make that tax negative. Nothing you type is sent.

Where does the basic personal amount come from?

You type it. The federal maximum on the 2026 TD1 is $16,452, and it can be lower above $181,440. Provincial amounts are not filled in.

Is the income left a take-home paycheque?

It is income minus the federal tax, the provincial tax, and the other amounts you typed. CPP, EI, surtax, and other credits are included only when you type them. A simple estimate, not advice.

Do I need an account?
