How this works and common questions

About this tool

Billable hours are the week you type, minus admin, minus travel. You type every hour. Nothing is stored.

How it works

The tool subtracts admin hours and travel hours from the hours in the week. The result is what is left to bill. It does not set a rate.

Rules

Hours are from 0 to 168, with at most 2 decimal places. If admin plus travel is more than the week, there is no result. A simple estimate, not advice.

Questions

What counts as billable?

Whatever is left after the admin and travel hours you type. This page does not decide which hours a client should pay.

Can I include a rate?

No. Type hours only. Use the hourly rate calculator if you want a dollar figure from your own rate.

Is 40 hours assumed?

No. The week starts blank. Type the hours you actually have.

Do I need an account?

No. The tools work without one. You only need to sign in to save your work.

Is what I type saved?

No. Nothing is saved unless you sign in and choose Save. Otherwise it stays on the page.

Do you show ads or sell my information?

No. We show no ads and we do not sell your information.

Is this tax or legal advice?

No. Results are estimates for planning. Check rates and rules with the official source or a qualified professional.
